Huperade LTD has been a family run company for 70 years.
Frank Cash founded the company and at that time not only sold soil, but did landscaping work and provided local nursery men with the hire of tipping wagons to transport vegetable produce, to and from, the Smithfield Market in Manchester.
Frank's Son's Brian and Graham began to work for the Firm after leaving school.
When Frank died in the late 1970's, Brian and Graham decided to carry on the company and decided to concentrate on supplying mainly soil and landscaping, dropping turf and plant hire parts the company.
They also changed the company name from Frank.A.Cash and sons to Huperade LTD.
This name change has proved to be very successful. People seem to always remember the unusual name.
The company has always supplied soil to a large number of Councils, including, Manchester, Trafford, Hyndburn and Halifax. It's used in parks, cemetery’s and many of the town centre uses, such as, flower beds and verges.
Due to the fine and high quality of our soil we have also started selling it to nurseries, sports grounds, golf courses and many more public/private places.
The Manchester Commonwealth Games Venue (City Of Manchester Stadium) and Manchester City Centre benefited greatly from our soil during the event.
Brian retired in 2004, leaving the third generation of the family, Gary, to take his place along-side Graham
